What's the overall thought on him around here? Has he turned the corner as a hitter? He already has 10 walks this year compared to 23 all of last season. Is he a sell high or a hold?

I love Francoeur. He hits in a decent lineup with guys that get on in front of him. I wouldn't be surprised with 35/110 this year for him. I am going to hold on to him. Like you said, he's taking more walks as well which means his average will get even better. If you can sell high on him, make sure you are getting more than what I just listed for probable numbers.

Definite hold. I think every year, Yahoo screws up and ranks certain players way too low. Last year it was Thome, who regularly went in the 12th/13th round range for no other reason than Yahoo's ORank.

This year, it was Francoeur. Despite putting up great numbers last year at a young age, his ORank was in the 160's, I believe. Unfortunately, in my auction this year, there was a big Braves fan that went nuts bidding for him, so I missed out...

Anyway, I see no reason why he can't hit 30 and drive in over 100. That alone should be a reason to hang on to him. The fact that he's walking more is just icing on the cake.

The only problem with him is that he swings at anything near the plate - striking out A LOT.

Yes he does, but that does not change the fact that he drove in 100 and hit nearly 30 homers last year. Now that he seems to be laying off pitches, many (including myself) feel as if his numbers will be even better...

Yeah, Yahoo ranked him pretty damn low which was great for me, because I was surfing through the free agents and found him and Magglio Ordonez. Both guys are doing great this year and luckily for me no one found them. I'm holding onto Francoeur as long as he's hitting well.

great keeper. also just wanted to chime in a point out he's batting 3rd today - i know it's just cause chippers getting a day off but they're obviously thinking more of francoeur in the clubhouse

Too many K's to maintain a high BA, expect him to end the year around 275. However, he will have his hot streaks and he will pile up homers (30-35) and RBI (100-110).
