Maybe half the guys in my leagues are asleep or they have great outfields, but Pence fell to people with 4th and 5th and 6th waiver picks. I got him in several of my leagues. I'm pleased, but disappointed there wasn't more compeition for him in my leagues. Am I a nut?

He went to the guy with the #4 waiver in my main deep roster league. I passed on him with the #5 so I'm happy with it. The guy with the #1 waiver is giong for butler and the guy with the #2 is sort of a flake, so hopefully that means I get Braun or Gallardo who I'd rather have than Butler or Pence.
I passed on him with the #1 waiver in both of my other leagues but those were shallower.

I am in a 12 man Yahoo League and picked him up. I was 12th on the Waiver List

...........I was very surprised when I saw him on my roster this morning. And excited obviously. I hope people are sleeping when more prospects get called up.
Just waiting for Bulter to be added. I'm sure I won't have to worry about picking him up either.

Would you rather have Bulter than Teahen?

I wouldn't drop anyone that you don't think is close to replaceable from your free agent list for Butler. People seem to think he'll hit like .290 with 15-20 HR's the rest of the year, he doesn't steal, he's not in a good lineup and he might get sent back down. Doesn't make much sense to me to be dumping a valid rosterable player for him. You drop the speculative guys for him instead.
The reason you are rostering him is in case he's one of the rare guys that just explode on the scene, but on the flip side there is a decent chance he struggles especially on defense and is back in the minors in a month. You want to drop a player you can viably replace if the second part happens. In a shallow league Teahen is probably such a player, in a deep league he's not.

In my 10-person yahoo keeper league, the guy with #10 waiver priority got him!
I suspect everyone else was either asleep at the wheel or saving their waiver priority for someone better.

I had 10 priority in my 13 team league and got him. I was actually a little disappointed in my league mates, thought they would have better judgement. With that said, I'm happy to have him.
