Most teams like to give their players a day or two off early so they can start them all the time in the middle of the playoff races.

Yeah, it's basically the norm with Clint Hurdle. He likes to get those bench/veteran players starts quite frequently.

Though I think Taveras will probably get a lot more consecutive starts now that he is hitting well.

taveras is on fire and needs to be starting

after an amazing spring, he slumped hard to begin this season, but has turned it around after that 5 for 6 game. i jus dont see any reason to start finely at all. with guys like tulowitski, helton, holliday, and hawpe hitting behind the lead off guy, why not get always start the prototypical speedy leadoff guy. especially when hes crushing! theres so many different ways this guy can make an impact on the game that its sad to see god damn steve finely starting in his place.
ummm lets go angels? :)
