I know this will meet the same response from the high and mighty as every trade veto post. Put you ego aside and realize there are leagues where a commisioner veto is neccesary. Do you not play friends leagues as well as competitive ones? Basically I am including this rant because I am tired of people saying that only definite collusion should be vetoed. I think that is mostly people that have played in high stakes vote leagues and had bad experiences. In reality the collusion trades always include a gray area so the commish has to make a decision.
On to the trade at hand. Last place team has been stricken with bad luck he owns so many of the underperforming players at the moment. The trade is the last place team gives up second round pick teixeira for ramon ortiz and granderson. The last place team only has freel at cf is about the only defense I can see for this deal but if they want to deal teixeira's slump (oddly when he is breaking out of it) for granderson's recent slump and ortiz has lost to kc and tb in two fo his last three starts (ie no pretending that start wasnt a fluke). Also for all the collusion fans out there the last place owner has a history of questionable deals to this owner who is in second place and desperately seeking a first baseman. I think the trade is terrible and could tip the balance of the league. Opinions?
