Awesome. Hopefully Michael Richards is still available...
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Mookie4ever wrote:Dark Tower really sucks. The first and third books are good the rest is a waste of time. Worst ending EVER. It should make a good comic though.
Mookie has offically jumped the shark.
Books 1-5 are amazing. I can't believe you didn't even like book 2! It's the best one.
I agree with you about the ending though- worst ending ever. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Book 7 can Mod Edit my Mod Edit while Mod EditMod EditMod Edit until the squirrel Mod Edits.
The comic series is pretty cool. The artwork is incredible, for one thing. So far the comics have told the story of Gilead and how he got his guns. Now him, Alain, and Cuthbert are off on the journey to track down "The Good Man" John Farson. Issue 3 was underwhelming, but 1 & 2 were excellent.
Agree completely that Hugh Laurie should play Roland in the Dark Tower movie.

haha, that's awesome
I don't know how that squirrel got in there, but I know I feel bad for it

i didnt mind the ending, i thought it was fitting (although i was expecting more)...what really disapointed me was some of the stuff towards the end, but i dont want to say too much without spoiling anything. lets just say i was expecting more from certain characters
i have a hard time ranking them, but i think for me it's
Book 4
Book 2 (that was the one that made me say "holy crap, this story is whack)
Book 3 (real close with 2)
Book 5 (grew on me)
Book 1 (still good and definately needed)
Book 7
Book 6
First of all- wow. Our lists are quite similar! My rankings would go-
2
4
3
5
1
6
7
With the only weak book being #7, and even it had some excellent parts. Honestly Dan, who cares about spoilers- we're on a fantasy baseball forum. I was ticked that the Man in Black died the way he did. Unceremoniously killed off in the first hundred pages, although he was one of the very best characters in the series. And then the killer of the incredibly dangerous time-and-space traveling Man in Black eventually is killed off in two paragraphs by the stupid dog-thing Oy? Way to blow it King!!
Actually, King should have sub-titled Book 7- "characters being unceremoniously killed off" now that I think about it...

i just know Cu has been reading this and is only up to book 5...but yeah, that sucked, but not as bad as the Crimson King being erased by Patrick Danville...now THAT was a letdown
i guess i was more talking about not hating the CODA ending...ka is a wheel afterall
Took my son to the comic store today and we walked out with 3 free comics (Transformers, Spiderman, and the Simpsons one). Thanks for the heads up!
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
