Yeah they still play hockey. It's that sport that runs the same time as basketball, receives little exposure, yet is a hundred times more exciting than the NBA.
Also Mt. Mutombo and the Nuggets taking down the Sonics was a bigger upset than this.

Agreed. Payton, Kemp, and company at the time were touted as the odds-on favorite to represent the West in the Finals that year and of course, the Nuggets were supposed to be a cake walk. Golden State actually gave the Mavs some fits over the course of the regular year. Not a huge surprise. Avery Johnson should've played his regulars in the 2nd or last game of the year to knock off the Warriors so that they played the sorry, sorry Clippers in the 1st round.
