I'd like to throw Lance Berkman into the list. He was my one big bat, and he aint doing jack.

Sexson is personally pissing me off. From a real perspective, Wrights OBP is still .377, but the complete lack of power is surprising. Im sure his owners are hoping he "Wrights" the ship... sorry. :-D

Agreed Wright is a huge bust, but he was quiet in the second half last year also.

Really, it all depends on where you took Matsuzaka. If you took him ahead of players like Bonderman or Hamels, you are probably reaping what you sowed. If you waited on him (say 10th round), his numbers will not look all that bad. As good as he was in Japan, making him a 5th round or so pick was a mistake for most. He was never going to post such numbers, in the AL East, with it's nuclear offenses and all of the hitter's parks.

He was drafted as high as 4th and he will be lucky to hit 30 this year with a .250 average. Anyone who has seen the games knows this and the scouting reports out on him said he would not keep it up and so far they are right.

April 2007: 10/3/13/.221 with 28 KO in 77 ABs.
April 2006: 12/5/12/.306 with 24 KO in 85 ABs.

He wound up 104/58/149/.313 in 2006. I'll just stop there.

Wait, one last thing: which scouting reports "said he would not keep it up"?? Show me one.

sorry man, but this is ridiculous. Not sure why you are such a hater, but it's very very early in the season. If Howard was as crappy as you say he is, HE WOULDN'T BE LEADING THE LEAGUE IN INTENTIONAL WALKS!!
Howard will not duplicate last year, and I refused to rank him as high as many lists did before the season, but you can't argue the fact that he is one of the most feared hitters in the league. At some point he will get hot, and once he strings a few multi-HR games together all of this early season hating will be forgotten.
