In relation to their draft pick, you can make the case for Soriano or Wright definitely. Both have vastly underperformed, and Soriano was taken in the 1st while Wright was taken in the 2nd. I expected them to do much better than this, and they will, with time. I'm not worried about them.
that being said, you can make the case for Pujols as well. At 1st overall, 5 homers are ok but nothing special. Obviously, his 40 and 130 will be there at the end of the year, but right now you can make the case for him being the biggest underachiever.
"Oh, that Lankford and McGee, the trio of 'em. They're a one-man wrecking crew."
Not even a question who has been the worst. Definitely Howard. This guy will only break one record this year. Most K's. He was drafted as high as 4th and he will be lucky to hit 30 this year with a .250 average. Anyone who has seen the games knows this and the scouting reports out on him said he would not keep it up and so far they are right.

Thats a bold statement man. You honestly think a guy who hit 58 last year is going to have a hard time breaking 30. If you really really wanted to low ball him you should have said hit 35, that would have been semi believable. Its hard for anyone to hit 40 or obviously 50 hrs any year, so I personally wouldn't be surprised if he hit high 30s, but i think he'll break 40 no sweat.
The biggest underachievers are definately the big 4. Soriano, Wright, Teixeira, Howard. All top 20 picks and definately not performing like it. Manny has been a slight disappointment as well, but i think hes turning it around, as i expect the rest to do soon...
