Michael Cuddyer was scheduled for X-rays Thursday because his back felt worse than it did Wednesday.
The Twins originally thought it might be a muscle spasm. Now they want to make sure he doesn't have a small fracture in his spine. Cuddyer is still day-to-day at the moment.

I would defintely guess so. A spine injury isn't exactly a blister or something, could be pretty serious.

X-rays on Michael Cuddyer's back were negative, and the Twins are still calling him day-to-day with a bruise.
Cuddyer is sitting out a second straight game Thursday.

Sounds like a cracked vertebrae. Very Painful. And takes time for even the average guy like u and I to heal.

Running is a no-no for a while. Due to the constant pounding that would shoot pain up the spine

I never knew there even was such an injury as a fractured spine... my heart goes out to Cuddy both as a Twins' fan and as a human being - that's gotta hurt something fierce. Hope he's ok and takes all the time he needs getting back...

Yeah, people kinda over reacted when they said he was getting x-rays. that was just a precautionary measure (probably because the pain didn't subside like it would've if it was spasms).
