Pavano Rumored to need TJ

Postby deerayfan072 » Thu May 03, 2007 6:28 pm

A source close to the right-hander told the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo that Carl Pavano will likely require Tommy John surgery.

Cafardo writes that "preliminary indications are that the ligament to the elbow is pretty messed up. Not completely torn, but stretched." If Pavano undergoes surgery, he'll miss the rest of the season. He might not be ready for 2008. May. 3 - 5:26 pm et

Now the Yanks can focus on either getting Leiber (I dont like that) or Lowry (I like that) or my personal favorite (CC Sabathia, would love that)

Sabathia? As an Indians fan I know we're only going to do that if we completely fall out of the race. And even then the package would have to be something like M. Cabrera + P. Hughes or Jose Tabata. Take a look at the Colon for Sizemore/C. Lee deal, that's what Shapiro would do for Sabathia.

Pavano is such a joke, apparently during his REHAB he's been a fixture at a few clubs down in Miami over the past year or to or according to a friend who books DJs. Pavano is so Bush League was anyone shocked that his teammates have zero respect for him. I'm a red sox fan but it really goes beyond baseball that this guy has been kept off the mound for two years for injuries various injuries to his arm, back, legs, BUTTOCKS. Come on, it'd be a disgrace if this guy ever pitched in MLB again, he doesn't deserve to be the Long Man in the Tampa pen. And....I'm spent.

Liriano's problem started with forearm issues and as soon as I heard Pavano's forearm was acting up I called it, that he would need TJ. If he comes back in '09 he will definitely only get a minor league contract and if he's injured in spring training will easily be one of the 1st cuts.

Done and done. He's a waste of space and money. What a joke.
