He is a notorious slow starter. His bat heats up in mid may through the end of the season. Check his splits. If you drop him you will be sorry.
Carnac, you should look at his splits first, because he has no pronounced differences (I wish he did because I own him too....it would make me feel a little better). If anything, perhaps he's a little worse in the 2nd half (see 2005). But, just like in stocks, past performance is not an indicator of future results. We have to trust that since he is a good player, he will start hitting like one.
