I desperatly need some help. I thought i drafted a pretty good team. Wht do u guys think.? This is a Head 2 Head league. Dailey Changes. Any Suggestions you all could make would be greatly appreciate. THe stats catagories are: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, TB, E, AVG, OBP, IP, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP
Hitters: C Paul Lo Duca (NYM- C)
1B Ryan Howard ( Phi- 1B)
2B B.J. Upton (TB - 2B,3B)

SS Julio Lugo (Bos - 2B,3B,SS)
OF Ichiro Suzuki (Sea - OF)
OF Jason Bay (Pit - OF)
OF Josh Hamilton (Cin - OF)

DL Scott Podsednik (CWS - OF) DL
as much as it is an awesome story, i dont trust hamilton. I'd put in burrell regularly he'll be better. Also I'd consider selling high on Upton right now because you have some good options with figgins and aramis. You should trade for a solid closer. other than the closer thing yor team looks pretty good to me. I'd just wait a little bit.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't have much faith in your pitching staff. You don't have one outright stud there so it's gonna be tough. Your hitting should come around though. Howard, Figgans, Ichiro, Prince should all get going.
Thanks for all the help. Wing Kei- there is 10 teams. I do start martin at catcher but like i said its a dailey league change and martin wasnt playing that day.
bige0617 wrote:ive been offered these 2 trades. Do you think i should do them. I would get Troy Glaus and Gary Sheffield and i would trade Aramis and Pat Burrell.
I was also offered Carlos Beltran and Tim Hudson for Ryan Howard and Dick-k
What do u guys think?
You better accept that trade beltran is one of the top 5 fantasy batters and tim hudson is making a career season in atlanta Howard is having a huge slump and dice-k is bound to get hammered he had a 3.00 era in japan which doesnt translate to 3.00 era in the al east and get troy and gary for aramis and pat pat isnt what he used to be he bats 7th in the lineup i believe and gary sheffield is finally starting to come around
Just think of it this way after you get beltran you can start prince fielder at 1st which is almost just as good as howard and then you can start beltran in the OF over hamilton if he lets you down in the future idk i think that trade isb perfect for you
unfortunatly i lost again this week. I am really not looking good right now. Also more bad news. The Beltran trade was taken off the table and he wants me 2 add in ichiro. I dont think i can give that much up. Please help me out. Is there anyone u guys suggest i pick up or try and trade for. I just picked up roger clemens and brett myers and i dropped otsuka.
Alright, here's my take on everything.
1. Your biggest hitting hole is SS. Lugo simply isn't going to cut it for me. I would consider dealing for an upgrade. Now what do you deal? (see 2)
2. Trades. You need to trade:
a) BJ Upton: he's hot, qualifies at 2 positions, and people are ignorantly in love with him.
b) Lugo: package him to a BoSox fan for an upgrade at SS.
c) Howard: huge name, little bat. And you have Fielder, so send Howard packing.
d) Hamilton: great story, I don't buy him for a whole year. See Upton and act accordingly.
e) Burrell: Use him as added packaging for the above players.
f) Dice-K: eeewwwww..... and people love his mediocre stats.
g) Sanchez/Bedard/Burnett/Colon/your mediocre starters.
3. Your main hole is SPs. You've got a lot of them, and none of them are great.
BUT there is GOOD news: you have a plethora of trading to do, and who doesn't like trading? So get one it! Locate some fine SPs like Peavy (think Howard) and Cain, Rich Hill, or even some lower quality but still better than your line like Gorzelanny or Snell. Deal your excess hitters and possibly some poorer SPs for these guys and watch your team take the league.
Heres my updated roster. Just made a few additions with free agents.
