So I picked up Jason Frasor a week or so ago, thinking he would pick up some save opportunities in B.J. Ryan's absence. Is it time to cut my losses and pick up Accardo?
yahoo.com May 3 Jordan Bastian, of BlueJays.MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays RP Jeremy Accardo is an option to close out games if RP Jason Frasor is pulled from the role. Accardo has allowed just five hits and struck out 11 in 11 2/3 shutout innings this year.
FA Closing Options:
Joakim Soria (KC)
Dan Wheeler (Hou)
Henry Owens (Fla)
Fourth Option:
Drop Frasor for ratio help from Okajima

He didn't blow a save, he came in when it was tied.....but he still got lit and got the loss...
I dumped him for Accardo, and I am not generally an alarmist. I just don't see how they can march him back out there again with the game on the line. When Rivera or Hoffman blow a few saves...they have a longer leash, when Frasor gets shelled for a week straight, I think they will determine the experiment is over.
PS, can you edit the title of this thread...its bugging me
