Westbrook likely DL - Carmona or Miller?

Postby jswede » Thu May 03, 2007 8:25 am

Westbrook out with abdomninal issues - at least 4 weeks is what I'd count on.

So, do the Indians go for Carmona, who's been their second best pitcher in the last 3 weeks but was optioned to AAA to make room for Lee, or do they give the youngster Adam Miller a shot, knowing it would be a temporary call, and would give him some valuable experience in the biggs?

Logic tells me Carmona, but Miller is ready to join this year and here's an opportunity for a trial run...

Probably Carmona. He did everything he could to claim the role.
