Wow no love for Hamilton. This is a guy who no one even expected to be on a MLB roster.

He's definitively benched Rafeal Furcal until further notice.

same here (even the Furcal part :-D )

I was torn between Johnson, Kinsler and Hill. Kelly Johnson got my vote though because he literally came out of nowhere to be one of the most productive players in April... he's hitting for average, power and he's stealing some bases and I just thought "who is this guy?"

Seriously though, he didn't play last year, did he?

KJ was out with TJ surgery last year.

He was decent (same on-base skills, poor average after a 1/32 start) in his debut in 2005.

For those who asked why no love for Hunter,Dejesus and some of the others, I just looked at players in the top 50.

Also it's not who has had the best stats, it's who was the biggest surprise..... Who did you least likely suspect to be this good.

Keep the post coming I'm enjoying this

I had been predicting Kinsler to be the best 2B not named Utley, so I haven't been 100% surprised by his start. He's playing better than I imagined, but not enough to say I'm more surprised by him than some of these other guys on the list.

Had to go with Hill. KJ had a nice stretch briefly just before Franceour's breakout as I recall, and knowing that the Braves were going to bat him leadoff was something of a tipoff.

I just never saw this coming from Hill at all.
