Brad Hennessey got the final out of the eighth and then stayed in to finish the game after the Giants scored three runs to build a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the inning. If Benitez was hurting, the Giants said nothing about it before the game. Benitez had pitched just once in five days, so he should have been available.

Benitez was unavailable to pitch because of a sore knee. Bearing in mind his previous knee problems this doesn't look good for owners. I'm thinking a CBC if he's down for any length of time with Brad Hennessey getting the majority of the opportunities due to the high number of leftie relievers in the Giants bullpen.

From Yahoo.com

"... RHP Brad Hennessey would be the Giants' closer should anything happen to RHP Armando Benitez, who was unavailable on Wednesday with a knee problem. "We think a lot of Hennessey," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "He has the make up for a guy you'd want in late in the game." Benitez was expected to be available on Thursday"

I don't think its anything to worry about. It's all about being precautionary with a "stable" member of a shaky pen who hasn't blown a save all season and granted loading the bases 75% of the time, he gets the job done.
