Homer Bailey... remember him?

is it Bailey time?
The Reds have reportedly placed Eric Milton on the DL with an elbow strain, making Homer Bailey a candidate to take over as the team's fifth starter.
Milton will have to be replaced Sunday, and Bailey, who has a 1.83 ERA in six starts, could be the choice to replace him with the Reds in need of a lift. If the top prospect is bypassed, then Phil Dumatrait or Bobby Livingston could get the call. Another option would be to take Kirk Saarloos out of the pen.

I traded Petitte for him at the beginning of the year and claimed Hughes off waivers. My pitching should be set in my dynasty league!

Jerry Narron's been pretty insistent that Bailey won't get the call; looks like he wasn't trying to pull a Belichick, either. MLB.com's probable pitchers page has Bobby Livingtson listed as the PP for tomorrow. Alas, no Homer-time for the moment.

But, as bad as Eric Milton is, it won't be long before Homer's throwing in the top o' the first at GABP. You can bet on that.
