Its been a weird start for a lot of guys: Konerko, Sheffield, Berkman,Pujols,Howard,Wright,Delgado etc.

I guess the cream will rise to the top at some point---but I`m hoping

As a Atkins owner it is frustrating, but I'd suggest relaxing. It's something small but he singled tonight which means he's now gotten a hit in 5 consecutive games (only one of those being a multi hit game unfortunately... but it's a start). More importantly working in Atkins favor, however, is that he's still drawing walks (2 more tonight 12 in 99 AB's) so he's at least continuing to take a patient approach at the dish. To those owners concerned last year was a one year fluke, I'd suggest holding him until he hopefully goes on a hot stretch and then deal him. I believe he is the real deal (more of a doubles hitter then a HR hitter) and a .300 + hitter with 100 and 100 potential with around 25 HR power.

I don't know... but I'm guessing runs produced... just a combination of runs and rbi's not specifying how many of either, but rather a sum instead.

170 RP? What does RP stand for?

I believe it's Runs Produced, which is RP = R+RBI-HR

So he's saying Atkins hit 20 HR and have 190 Runs and RBIs combined.
