Just reported on Sportscenter... it's a hamstring injury and expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Yep, it started on the message boards...apparently Hughes "heard a pop" and they say it's his ACL. Good thing it's not his arm or shoulder, but still, not good news.

I wonder how many Hughes owners started him today despite his first outing last week. I, fortunately, did, but debated doing so.

Phil Hughes is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after straining his hamstring Tuesday in his start against the Rangers.

Incredible. At least the Yankees are getting Mike Mussina back this week, and Hughes showed enough tonight to indicate that he could be of a lot of use after the break. In truth, this injury might have been the best thing for his long-term health, as the Yankees won't be tempted to overuse him to compensate for the shortcomings of the rest of the staff. This means Kei Igawa will likely stay in the rotation following Mussina's return.

Doesnt matter to me. I have Hughes in a keeper league as a late draft pick. As long as it isnt his shoulder, elbow or forearm I dont care. I am takin this season off to rebuild my keeper situation.

Damn, talk about packing it up a bit early...I agree that it doesn't matter as much to you, given you're in a keeper, but what's your team like to make you already think about rebuilding after a month in?

I pack it in prior to the draft, it had to be done..I sold off to try & win last year & ended up taking a 2nd, year b4 that a 1st, a 2nd before that & a 1st b4 that. So as we enter the 5th season of our league I have 2 1sts & 2 2nds....so it was easier for me to take a season off & rebuild the franchise.
