The Worthless Closer

OK, by my reckoning we have the following teams with messed up closer situations:

Pitts...No Closer and nothing but trash potentially

Tor...Justin Speier, A. Lopez, or Ligtenberg?

Mon...is it Cordero...or Biddle...or Ayala?

Cleveland...Is it Riske or Wickman?

Det...Rodney or Anderson?...does it matter?

Makng all 5 teams hopeless for fantasy closer purposes.


And then we have the Sasaki/Guardado situation in Seattle...
and Marte/Koch on the CHW.


What a mess.

Wickman is going into spring training with the job. And to my knowledge Speier has the job in Toronto for now, as well.

Toronto: Speier

Det: No idea

Wickman is going into spring training with the job. And to my knowledge Speier has the job in Toronto for now, as well.

This is pretty accurate I think. Although I don't see why the hell Wickman gets the job over Riske...Riske is much better. Maybe it's money - the same reason why the much better Damaso Marte is setting up the next Mark Wohlers; Billy Koch.
