Yah I don't know how much longer I can take this. He had golden opportunities to drive in a few runs tonight and came up empty... 6 LOB.... SIX. 13th pick overall... what a waste :-t I've been heeding the call of those that keep saying "it's early... it's only April... he'll turn it around"... well we're less than 24 hours from May and that panic button seems to be flashing a bit brighter with every AB that Wright comes up empty.

Man it's unreal how fantasy changes someone outlook on things. His power isn't there so far this year and he's not playing to potential but panic button? I'm a Mets fan, tried and true, and I'm not worried....he's got to much talent to keep this up. Even the NY media has been patient. Everyone except fantasy owners.

I'm trying like crazy to trade for him in my league...hopefully the owner has given up on him as well.

Potential means nothing if he cant utilize it. I'm just hoping he doesn't pull a Beltran and try too hard after signing that contract. I'm not at the brink of panic yet but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Going 0-5 and giving Henry Owens his first save of the year, 4 weeks so far of this from my #2 pick, then yes I'm a frustrated fantasy owner. Doesn't mean I'm gonna trade him away for an Ian Kinsler, but I've gotta rant somewhere :-°

i mean he had talent, but so did hanl blalock. he looks so bad at the plate. i could stand there look at two fastballs then wave at the third one.

He'll bring it around. Please do not compare a player like Wright to a Blalock. Blalock has been notoriously inconsistent throughout his career. I would love to trade for him in my league but I don't really want to break apart my team. I have Glaus and some pitching to offer but I don't know if the guy would do the deal.

Blalock's first full season- .300 29hrs 85runs 90rbis
Second season- .276 32hrs 107 runs 110 rbis

Wright
first- .306 27hrs 99runs 102 rbis
second- .310 26hrs 96runs 116rbis

i'd say its a fair comparison. solid first two seasons then big time decline

What's scary is that usually as the slump goes on, the more mental and media hyped it becomes. Let's hope he breaks out sooner rather than later, because if it's later, we could be looking at a Beltre situation.
