Veto this trade?

Postby samadams » Mon Apr 30, 2007 9:05 pm

I rarely think trades should be vetoed, but I really think this one should be. The commish is thinking about.

First off the two teams are friends. They made another trade about 3 days ago.

It is a normal 5x5 h2h league

The first trade was:

Team A gets Utley, Igawa
Team B gets Renteria, Matsuzaka

Now they have a pending trade

Team A gets Howard, Chuck James
Team B gets Konerko, Bonderman

Now, after the first trade Rentaria sits the bench for Rollins. I think Konerko will end up sitting the bench for Adrian Gonzalez.

Should this trade be vetoed?

I don't think they are vetoable. Someone needed pitching apparently but considering where some people might rate those pitchers and the slumps of Utley and Howard I wouldn't veto.

I wouldn't veto, but I would keep a close eye on those 2 teams.

The thing is, he does need pitching, but in the past week he has dropped Schilling, Glavine, and Saito.

I really don't know what to think. I can't decide whether there might be collusion or team B just has no idea what he is doing.

neither trade is vetoable. I can make an argument that one or both trades are stupid but I wouldnt jump to collusion. My advice would be to make sure the commish is watching these two (which it sounds like he is) and possibly find a more competitive league to play in next season.
