It's gotta be either Rafael Soriano or Mike Gonzalez.

I would think Gonzalez b/c he closed in Pitt last season and I thought that, that's why the Braves picked him up. To eventually take over for Bob Wickman.

I'd say soriano would be the huge favorite to close. Gonzo's lefty, so it would make more sense to keep him in a setup role to play matchups. Plus Soriano has been the 8th inning guy, which is usually 2nd in line if the closer goes down.

I'd say even money on Soriano...Gonzo's probably 3/1 against.

I say Gonzalez gets the first crack at it based on experience.

You guys have to remember that Gonzalez is coming back from a tender elbow. The Braves may not want to put so much strain on Gonzalez just yet.

Based on that, I think Soriano is the favorite.

I know. I feel like this is just an excuse for pitching poorly, a la Mussina.

GOD I'm pissed. I drafted K-Rod, BJ Ryan, and Wickman in a 12 teamer thinking I would be great in saves.

With Ryan and Wick both gone, I'm VERY glad I traded for Jenks a few days ago.
