The Tigers 8th round pick in the 2006 draft is currently the top pitcher in the Midwest league. He has a record of 2-1 in 33 2/3 innings with 34K/6BB and an ERA of 0.27. I'm hoping to see a couple of his starts for West Michigan in the next few weeks. Anyone know anything about this guy?

All's I know about the guy is he doesn't throw very hard. Upper 80's at best. A soft-tossing lefty control freak.

They need to promote Cody soon. He was pretty dominant in his latest start. Eh, 3 ER and 10 hits allowed in 7 1/3 IP, but 13 Ks and 0 BBs! He's also 23 and a little old for his level, so why not give him a shot in Lakeland?

Agreed. His 58 Ks to 8 BBs are pretty rediculous.

He's up to a 77/13 K/BB ratio with a 1.79 ERA. Still dominating. I wonder what the hold up is? If he was a 19 or 20 year old, I could understand, but he's a 23 year old in A ball.
