delmon young's speed

was i wrong for expecting some steals from delmon young? i thought i heard he can steal bases when he was in the minors. what's the deal with him?

when he gets on someone is usually on 2nd or he hits a double.
and the fact that maddon runs upton balldeli and crawford.
just wait he will end up with 15-20 sb.

I feel like he's adjusting to the major league game. He probably has a fair amount of raw speed but hasn't refined the mental part of the game--getting good jumps, knowing what counts to run on, which catcher/pitcher combos are vulnerable, etc.

Give him some time, although I think his ceiling this year is more like 15.

He might not hit as many HRs as Nick this year, but should have better numbers everywhere else.

Let him get going, he's in a cold slump right now and barely even getting on base. He'll have good final numbers.
