I watched Zimmerman play in person twice over the weekend, he's a baller. He'll be just fine. Sort of sad that he's the only legit player on the Nats...what terrible, terrible team.

He lucked into a ton of RBI's last year... I don't see a repeat in his future. He'll put up manageable numbers, but there is better out there.

Keep in mind the kid is still a kid. He turns 23 this year. Think Miguel Cabrera his first couple years. That's how good Zim is going to be. He's just going through a bump in the road.

He's .348/.444/.478 in the last week. Unbelieveably he has no RBI then, but he has 2 SB's to go with it. So, he's hitting doubles right now and getting on base. I would think he'll start heating up even more the rest of the week.

He is nowhere near as good as MCab but he is much better than how he's played.

:-? How is Zimm a 5 tooler? Not with Manny Acta in the Dug out. I would say he'll put up 80 / 20 / 20 / .300 / 20 (Manny doesn't run on the bases alot, just ask Felipe Lopez). Think JD Drew in LA, but at 3B for the Nats.

Cabrera has far more hitting ability than Zimmerman can only dream of. And I like Zimmerman a lot.

Miguel is probably the only hitter comparable to Pujols.... Zim wishes he had that ability. And I make a substantial bet that Zim is nowhere close to 20 steals by the end of the season.
