The Atlanta Braves have dealt Ryan Langerhans to the Oakland A's for cash or a player to be named later.

Interesting. What will Diaz do with 500 abs?

I think this is actually fairly significant news, at least for those of us in very deep leagues who need to be aware anytime someone's playing time will be increased dramatically. In this case, that person is almost certainly Matt Diaz, who has been platooning with Langerhans. I think Bobby Cox really likes Diaz, and has been looking for a reason to play him more often in LF. Now he has it. Diaz may really do some good things, given the chance to play every day. I'm in need of a final utility guy in my 18-team league, so I'm going to take a $1 flier on Diaz.

I'm glad we got rid of Langy but his defensive skills were much better than Diaz's. Wouldn't mind if the Braves called up Brandon Jones to play LF, but they called up W.Harris instead. Looks like Diaz will get the bulk of ABs now.

What
s the fantasy impact here?

Do C Wilson or Thorman or Diaz become everyday players? What's the alignment.

It will be Diaz paying LF by himself now and not platooning.

It would have to be a pretty deep league, wait a few weeks to see exactly what the Braves do in LF.

I don't know but it's the same thing Bavasi was on when he traded Snelling away for Vidro. USS Mariner is in full meltdown over this.
