Someone said if he comes up before June, the Giants would lose 1 year before he is elgible for free agency. I don't think we will see him 'til June. Those two starts by Hughes gave him a year toward free agency. So they cost the Yankees about 10 mil. 4 starts in May end up costing the Giants 10 mil.

Dont think its true. It is anytime during the year, not just b4 June.

Their best chance to win is this year with Bonds hitting well. I don't think the figure is $10mm either. It is more likely be around $4mm which is nothing when you consider the type of impact Lincecum will have on the ball club right now.
With a rotation of Cain, Lincecum and Zito, they will have the pitching needed to win the NL West.
