Is it safe to say Lincecum is now one step closer to Frisco?

Time to put Ortiz on the DL and call up TIMMAAAYYYY!

I mean, a pitcher of Ortiz' status must be hurt with a line like that, right? ;-)

I'm sure it bruised his ego...that should be good enough to send him to the DL. ;-D

Someone said if he comes up before June, the Giants would lose 1 year before he is elgible for free agency. I don't think we will see him 'til June. Those two starts by Hughes gave him a year toward free agency. So they cost the Yankees about 10 mil. 4 starts in May end up costing the Giants 10 mil.

Hmmm, that's an excellent point, if true. Anyone know if that's the case or not?

Their best chance to win is this year with Bonds hitting well. I don't think the figure is $10mm either. It is more likely be around $4mm which is nothing when you consider the type of impact Lincecum will have on the ball club right now.

With a rotation of Cain, Lincecum and Zito, they will have the pitching needed to win the NL West.
