Ponson?.. signing with BMORE soon?.. help or hurt his value?

Postby justinA » Mon Jan 12, 2004 9:37 pm

If he signs with Baltimore, with our new, kicka** lineup, im thinking that will greatly improve his fantasy value. Even if he has a bad outing, 6 IP, 5 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 7 K, he will still always have a chance for a win. What do you think?

this is all assuming he signs with Bmore, and about that, do u think he will?

Im staying away from all baltimore pitchers, they have to face loaded line ups like New York and Boston several times.

I hear ya on that one, but I have the opp to keep him for only 6 bucks. I think 6 bucks is nothing for a guy I can just play the matchups with. Your thoughts?

For that price I would probably keep his as well. I would defianetly watch the lineups he will be starting against before I put him in my starting line up though.

You could do worse for $6. I just do not think he is that great a pitcher.

I wouldn't touch Ponson this year. The 2003 Baltimore Ponson was an aberration. The 2003 Giants (including playoffs) Ponson is the real one.
