In theory you could just bench them. Their stats do not matter. They are just pawns to soak up the player pool.

I see. A good way to score it, in terms of your research, would you guys auto-draft, then bench every player on every team. Whoever is competing then just puts their two "hot bats" into the UTL spot. Yahoo would only record your two players and you wouldn't have too much to sift through.

I could see where it would be quite the success. very competitive. the more the merrier for me.
I guess my one question would be, do we have to pick up a player each week. It is not inconceivable that you catch two studs. There is 4 months of baseball left. Ya never know.

I definitely think two is the answer, especially for half of a season.

Well, in your challange with GTWMA, I would say whoever wins, roto style. That way, you can measure what effect your players would have had in the aggregate, whether it be H2H or roto. I guess that would work in a 12 team challenge league as well.

That's a good idea about benching everybody except the util player pickups. While I think it would be cool to have several guys do it at once, they would complicate pickups from the FA pool, I think.

wrveres, if you want to keep a guy long-term I see no problem with that. You can ride a "hot streak" as long as you think it will last.
