I was someone that had Howard last year during his slow start, so I want to be patient, but is anybody discouraged so far?
I'm thinking of offering him for Ortiz straight up and playing it safe at this point......

That said, if I were an Ortiz owner I wouldn't accept that head-to-head deal.
I remember I offered howard for Konerko last year around this time (it was auto-drafted, so no attchment) and the denial of that was the best thing that could of happened.
Hopefully Howard is just a Teixera/Aramis 2nd half type of guy

Lack of protection and the overwillingness to walk him have me worried. When hes in the zone though hes one of the best in the game. Right now I have him and hes going for about 3rd round value in someone like Mauer. Of course thats just my league though.
In retrospect I would have drafted a more well rounded player in MIggy at 4th.

Nor me. One season from Howard versus an entire history from Ortiz? Not a chance. I have Howard and the guy in front of me took Ortiz. I would certainly have done the same.
