Jason Hirsh

How real is this guy?

These are his AAA Numbers:

13 W 2 L 2.10 ERA 118 k 137 IP

He`s a big dude: 6` 8 " 250.
If he has a good game against Braves I think I`m gonna find someone to waive for him.

Hes a top 30 prospect. I would watch the game tonight to see how he does and then decide from there.

He is in the vein of jennings in that he might be able to tame Coors by keeping balls on the ground

might be more K potential

hes not looking great tonight but atlanta can hit people around

In each of his last two minor league seasons he was the outstanding pitcher of the year of those leagues. Unprecedented.

With all of these accolades, you would think he'd get more press.

He's on my 12 team keeper league, but that was only because I picked him off of the WW 2 weeks ago.

Not a very good outing today. He just wasnt throwing strikes and I was not impressed at all. Im thinking the red hot shields might be worth more right now, but I need to see more from both.

I don't think it was a horrible performance. He gave up 3 earned to a hot Braves squad at Coors. I have him, but I didn't start him for that very reason. I think he'll be pretty good this year.
