The Dallas Morning News reports Texas Rangers 1B Mark Teixeira (knee) might get a day off to rest his sore left knee over the weekend when the Rangers play four games on artificial turf in Toronto. Teixeira may serve as a designated hitter.

He is the DH today. Also batting 3rd for the second time (in a row) this year.
