"The News
Hunter Pence was called up and will start in center field for the Astros on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. "We've got to find a way to get the offense going," general manager Tim Purpura said. "We're getting hits, but we're not driving in runs. That's certainly a lot to ask of a young player, but all reports from Round Rock are that he's doing great."
Our View
Pence is a stud prospect who tore the cover off the ball this spring (.571 with four doubles, two triples, two homers, and nine RBI in 19 games) and was hitting .341 with three homers and 19 RBI at Triple-A Round Rock this season. He'll start in place of Chris Burke in center field and, if Purpura's comments are any indication, will bat in a run-producing spot in the order. Fantasy owners in need of an outfielder with upside should think about adding Pence now, before it's too late. "
