damian jackson was signed by the rockies recently and i believe it is going to be one of those spring training battles between him and miles. for some reason second basemen do not hit well for colorado and every year there is hype about one because of the shallowness at that position. miles has very nice minor league numbers, but that is also in colorado so who knows if he would be any good anyway. coors players are always going to be something to look at but this one is the kind that you pick up if he does anything positive but don't waste a draft pick on i think.
I looked him up...here's what ESPN says about him: Acquired in an off season trade with the White Sox, Miles is projected to be the Rockies second baseman heading into spring training. Miles was impressive in Triple-A last year, hitting .304-11-50 in 133 games, earning MVP honors in the International League in the process. The Rockies like his hard nosed approach to the game, and playing half his games in Coors Field certainly makes him worth a look in 2004. This was from a column on Free Agent Winners. I think I'll be watching to see if he wins a job myownself.

If he has talent it will show. Being in Coors alone won't save him. Minor league player of the year (twice) Jose Ortiz, Mike Lansing, Neifi Perez, Brent Butler have shown that.
RAM I feel for you on that. Prior to the 01 eason, i made a bet with a competitor. He said Ortiz would be roy, i took Ichiro.
