Aaron Miles seems to have the inside track for the starting 2B job as well as the leadoff spot. What do you expect him to do this year?

Does he have speed? Power?

The fact that I had to do a Yahoo search to find out that he was a MI for the Rockies supercedes any opinions that I could possibly have on him.

I don't know much about him, other than he's starting at 2B for Colorado. That alone makes him worthy of being drafted. The fact that he's young and might be betting leadoff jsut makes him more valuable. Although he'd probably be one of the worst starting 2B's in a 12 team league, I'd take a flyer on him if guys like Jimenez and Loretta are gone. I have him ranked #18 for second basemen in my cafe rankings that I will be submitting sometime soon ;-D

If he's starting 2B for the Rockies, then that at least warrants a look. But I'm a bit wary of relying too heavily on the Colorado effect alone (especially combined with PCL offensive stats). I learned my lesson a few years ago, when I consoled myself at missing out on Soriano by drafting Jose Ortiz. After all, he was handed the starting 2B job in Colorado! :~(

And for anyone who's asking, 'Who's Jose Ortiz?', well, my point exactly.

LOL... I am very estatic that nobody has heard his name. Yes he does have the inside track on the job, and it could be a lucrative gig for him and you, if he gets it. But I think personally, Colorado has burned me, on a great many middle infielders over the last 3 or 4 years that I'll probably stay away. He would be an excellent late round pickup, especially if he gets the job. Judging by the responses in this thread, he should still be there too. ;-D

I think the kid is pretty good...I don't think he'll have the job out of spring training, but I do think the job will be his by mid-June. Don't pick him up unless you can stash him on your roster til next year.
