Burke to the bench/utility

Postby converge241 » Sat Apr 28, 2007 12:19 am

The Astros will call up Hunter Pence on Saturday and make him their primary center fielder.

Chris Burke will resume his utility role from last season. Pence is no lock to play regularly for the rest of the season, but he will get the opportunity and it'd be no surprise to see him hit right away. NL-only leaguers will want to pick him up immediately, and mixed leaguers should keep a close eye on him.

PENCE! ;-D

You should rename this Hunter Pence.

Anybody think he has value in mixed leagues?

I felt the Hunter Pence belonged in Leftovers more..put that there 1st

then threw this up here for people still clinging to Burke (or people in NL only)

Would you drop Ensberg in 12 team 5 x 5 roto league? Have Rolen starting at 3B and Manny, Beltran, Matsui, and Baldelli as my OF's.

Not really the forum but I wouldn't with those OF's.

I'm a sabermetrics guy, but this guy just looks like he doesn't fit in! You look at a picture of him and he looks like he's lost and doesn't know his right from his left. His stats show he does though, I guess.

The guy has been a stat monster at every level. Scouts knock him every year, yet every year he goes out and does phenominal things in the astros organization.
