Poor Rangers..they just get worse and worse.
At least Nelson could supply some much needed Bullpen relief. That is..if he isn't in jail for assault!
Jeff Nelson (P - TEX)
1/12/04 Nelson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Rangers, contingent upon him passing a physical later today.
Kenny Rogers (P - TEX)
1/12/04 Rogers has reached a tentative agreement to return to the Rangers for two years and $6 million. He will take a physical today to make the deal official.

looks like they are at least trying to bolster their pitching. Whether or not it helps will remain a mystery for now.

15 wins sounds more like the high end of expectations, as opposed to a minimum to expect. The Rangers have too many games against the Angels, A's and Mariners. 10-15 wins with a 4+ ERA and 1.3+ WHIP.
It's probably better to take a risk on a younger pitcher with potential. I'd say go with someone like Eaton rather than Rogers.
