Chris Denofria traded to Oakland A's

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Athletics have acquired outfielder Chris Denorfia from the Reds for two players to be named later.

Interesting. Denorfia is out for the season after Tommy John surgery earlier this month. The Reds seemed to have soured on him a bit even before the injury, but he still projects as a very good fourth outfielder or decent stopgap regular in the Brady Clark mold. If the A's picked him up cheap, it could turn out to be a very nice move for Billy Beane.

he'd be relatively valuable if he could play center, though i'm not sure what the point would be with both kotsay and bradley on the team. i'd have to look at the contract lengths again, but this could be a good move for down the road. not sure how his value would be effected if he were forced to play a corner.
