I mean they have just loaded up this year ;-D

I'd like to recant that now please .. :-D

Go Angels ... ;-D

I don't know but since this fell to page 2, here's a bump. ;-)
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

ESPN has bad numbers...

I was looking at the padres site ..

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/teams/salaries?team=sdg

and they Have Trevor at 9 Mill and he restrutured
They have Hitchcock at 6 million. which is obviouslly bogus
they have Klesko at 5.5 mill and his base was 6.5 last year and this year ??

so I don't trust those ESPN numbers. Sorry I know ESPN is the gospel to many ..

"The Angels' payroll was $79 million at the start last season and could top $110 million this year if they don't trade away any high-priced players. "

I don't know if you've found out already, but here's a quote from Gammons' latest column:

Since the Angels were already between $90 million and $95 million before signing Guerrero, what they do to pare payroll -- trade Ramon Ortiz, Jarrod Washburn or Troy Percival or perhaps an everyday player -- will be fascinating.

That's the only recent figure I've seen.

whats funny is that ESPN has it at 68 million. I would say it needs updating, but the have already updated it once today. How can there number be so far off?
