I'd bet not; when there was a question about whether or not Sheets would be headed to the DL with his groin pull, GM Doug Melvin basically came out and said that long-reliever Carlos Villanueva (who *has* been pitching pretty well the last few weeks) would get the start(s) in place of Sheets. I can't see that strategy changing just because the pitcher's name is "Capuano" instead of "Sheets."
Don't get me wrong...as a Gallardo/Lincecum owner in a keeper league, all this noodling by major league brass is starting to get on my nerves. I just don't see it happening yet.
seeing what Villanueva did in the minors and what hes doing now in the majors, i dont see why he wouldnt get the first chance should someone in the rotation go down.
Gallardo is good, but i think Villanueva is next in line.

Possibly... Villanueva is doing well in his role and there needs to be an opening in the rotation also.
