He was trying to run down a fly ball and hit the outfield wall pretty hard. He finished the inning, but was then removed from the game afterward. Not sure how bad the injury is at this point. Hopefully not too bad as he is in my OF, but give me an opportunity to play Hamilton more I guess.

Same here. I benched hamilton with matsui back, but I've been toying with benching baldelli for hamilton.

Rocco Baldelli is considered day-to-day with a right leg contusion.

Baldelli was hurt Thursday after slipping on the warning track and slamming into the center-field wall. Elijah Dukes will likely start in his place in center field for at least the next couple of days. Baldelli could DH if he feels up to it. Apr. 26 - 6:04 pm et

The Rays aren't counting on Rocco Baldelli playing at all this weekend against the A's.

Baldelli left Thursday's game with a right leg contusion sustained in a collision with the center-field wall. The Rays figure to go with Elijah Dukes in center field and either Jonny Gomes or Jorge Cantu at DH. Apr. 26 - 10:31 pm et

great.
He stayed in to play the inning though? Thats encouraging.
It is not encouraging that they are going to sit him for the weekend though. Why not just say "Day to Day"

I don't gt it, he has a leg bruise and he can't DH?

I think Maddon just wants an excuse to play Gomes and Cantu, who both suck
