Whenever I'm inclined to catch the Cubs, I make sure to listen to the wgn radio rather than the brain trust of Brenly and Kasper on TV.
I'm sure most Cubs fans would agree.
The excitement level of Ron Santo whenever there is a bad call or a great play is great. He has a ton of passion for the game.
Very true. The trouble I have is that my TV feed is ahead of my Radio feed so I can see it before it is called. Or is it the other way around? I forgot.
Anyways, Pat and Ron are a great broadcast duo and are very interesting to listen to. Pat Hughes is one of the best play by play guys around as far as im concerned, but if you arent a Cub fan/ like Ron Santo you will not enjoy his commentary. Its not that his info is bad, but he has a little trouble with stuttering/rambling on, but his passion for the Chicago Cubs is what really gets me going as a Cub fan. I guess thats why he's my hero though.
