If you're going to be a Cubs fan for a day you might as well do it right..

I'd vote for the Bleachers. Get there at least an hour before hand so you can get up front in the first row. Try and sit straight away in left field if you can, then you can chat with who ever's playing left field and maybe get a warm up ball tossed up. They'll also let you drop down stuff to them during pre-game warm ups from time to time to get a ball or shirt autographed if they are in a good mood. (I've gotten a shirt signed by Greg Maddux when he was warming up out in left field like that before).
Food in the direct vicinity:
Sheffields is ok. Depends on what you want. If you want a college bar, go to hi-tops or cubby bear.
If you want more upscale go to Goose Island or Casey Moran's. The food at Casey Moran's is fantastic! Sluggers is cool because you can go upstairs and hit baseball's in the batting cage (while drunk hah!).
Make sure you cab it there or take the EL to the field if you can because the traffic in the area absolutely sucks and you don't want to have to drive and pay $25 to park in an alley somewhere (no parking structures!)
Enjoy. It's a fun place to go. The bleachers were redone lastyear so they have nicer bathrooms and a nice walk way behind the bleachers up top now.The bleachers are also in the sun all day so wear clothes that will keep you cool and bring sunscreen.
Seriously though, the last thing you should worry about is finding a place to party after the game. Literally, all of Wrigley is surrounded by bars and resturaunts.

200s in the far edges (201, 202, 242, 240) are fine, but the others suck

The 200's are fine, as long as you are somewhere in the first 4-5 rows of that section. Anything farther back than that, you certainly run the risk of being behind a pole and you'll miss just about every play in the air.
Personally, I like Section 222. Right behind the plate, a little elevated from the field, and nothing blocking your view.
But it's absolutely crucial to make sure you are in the first 4-5 rows if you are going to sit in one of the 200's sections.
Sometimes it takes a crazy person to see the truth. If so, I'm a freaking lunatic.

as opposed to the ever stylish Sox fans:
Oh god, I was at that game. I believe it was vs the Royals. The Sox had some sort of promotion going on, can't quite remember what it was, something like dollar ticket night. All I know is that everyone who has ever lived in a trailor park made their way to the ball game. The game was stopped 4 or 5 times due to drunkards storming the field, then that idiot attacked the ump. Ugly scene.
I'm trying to remember, who was the player who was attacked at the Wrigley? It happened near the vistors pen. Some idiot fan grabbed his hat so the guy turned around and chocked the fan. I believe the guy was a catcher. Happened anywhere between 7-10 years ago. Anyone have an idea?
I went to Wrigley a few years ago and I would definitely recommend looking into getting tickets online right now! Wrigley and Fenway were both by far the hardest tickets to come by and the most expensive. Ebay is a pretty good bet and I've had success with StubHub in the past as well. Not too sure on the seating as I only saw one game there, but the recommendations from all the Cubby fans sound pretty good to me. I know that the tourists tend to go for the bleachers and I'm pretty sure it's usually a drunk-fest out there. I guess it depends if that's what you want to do for whether the bleachers are for you or not. Just like everyone else has said, Wrigleyville is hopping both before and after the games. I would plan to spend some time down there checking everything out. And I can vouch for Giordano's pizzas. I had a spinach and mushroom deep dish when I was there. I hate veggies, but it was the best pizza I've ever eaten. Good luck!
