Going to a Cub's game soon, need some help.

Hello from Alaska! I will be in Chi town on May 28-30 and want to attend a Cubs game. A few questions:

1. Can I pre-buy tickets or will they be sold out? Should I buy from a scalper?

2. Where should I sit? Best seats?

3. Any place to go before or after the game that is a must?

You can get them online still or on eBay. eBay can be cheaper if you watch. If you do buy from a scalper, do it right as the game is starting. They drop the price a lot then. Also, go to the stadium ticket window about 15 minutes before gametime. A lot of players who don't have family/friends there release their tickets and they're then available to buy.

2. Where should I sit? Best seats?
Don't sit in the 200's. You can't see pop flies because the upper deck is over you. 400's are cool. 100's are great. 500's eh.

There are a lot of neat places in Wrigleyville to hit up. I usually just walk around with my friends when I go and end up eating at different places. That's fun to do.

1. Tickets should be pretty easy to come by since the Marlins are in town. Pre-ordering tickets would be the way to go.

2. Not sure, but I hear the bleachers are pretty nice. I usually sit in the cheap seats, so I can't say which seats are good and which are bad. I don't have a problem where I sit usually. It depends on how much you're willing to pay for tickets.

3. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, Gino's East (on Lincoln), and Giordano's (on Sheffield) are some good pizza places. If you're looking for a bar, Murphy's (on Sheffield) is the only one I've been to. Great atmosphere for after the ballgame. There are a ton of blues clubs in that area if that's your thing too.

Good point about the 200's. I sat there a couple weeks ago and was pissed that I couldn't see one of the score boards and any fly ball that was hit.

3. murphy's on sheffield and waveland is great to go to before games. very popular hang out. any hangout in front of the stadium after the game is pretty popular...ie sluggers or cubby bear on clark street.

2. nothing beats the bleacher experience there. you can always get tickets from scalpers right around there for very cheap right before the game.

Make sure you pour a beer on someone's head. My goal is to douse someone with a beer in every MLB stadium. I've only got 7 down right now.

Yes, people 'accidentally' spill their beer on Cardinal fans all the time at Wrigley. It's a shame really. I'm sure some Marlin's fans might get a little wet too.

If I were going to Wrigley for my first (and possibly only) game there, I wouldn't sit in the bleachers. Yes, it's fun out there, but there's nothing like getting a really sweet box seat down one of the baselines at Wrigley. It's unbelievable how close you are.

If you can, get box seats. Sit in the bleachers for your 2nd game at Wrigley.

Murphy's would also be my recommendation for a pre- or post-game bar.
