he isn't making something up, he is believing someone else's claim based upon relevant personality traits.

I don't personally care. If its fake, its a pretty dumb and pointless thing to do.

yeah...but you'd think he'd pick up a phone and say "hey Doug, remember that story about the painted sock...i'm gonna run with that, but, um...that was true, right"

Thorne=Douche

Schilling should challenge him to a fight in Everquest

I think this whole thing is ridiculous. The guy recanted his story and 28% of people still believe it wasn't blood according to an ESPN survey.

Here's the picture of the sock in the HOF.

Why would Gary Thorne go fishing for a stupid sock story?

This whole thing is ridiculous. Communication error from locker room chatter.

Come on guys, don't be so niave. If you fold a 50 dollar bill into a crane, you can clearly see that the blood on the sock is still red.

Don't let the man cover this up!!!!!

By the way does anybody want to team up with me on Shillings challenge? I want to prove the blood is fake, but I'm really busy. I'm still helping OJ look for those killers.

I'm confident that we will become multi-millionaires. Who's with me?

Considering that this is a total non-issue and has nowhere to go but down from here, I'd like to recommend it get locked before this goes any further.

Why lock it? Who's arguing? :-?

I don't care, but it seems silly to call for a lock when this thread was going to go away on it's own anyway.

I can just see where it's going. Half the posts are just people calling Schilling an arrogant prick, and the other half are talking about how it's a non-issue and Thorpe is a jackass for saying anything.
I just don't see anything positive coming from that, and you might as well lock it before any serious/angry arguments occur over something that happened 3 years ago and is still a sore spot for lots of Yankees fans.
Preventive measures, if you will.
