He should be in the prime of his career, however, he has just been regressing ever since 05. Does anyone really see this guy turning it around?
I'm going to have to start trying to steal him away if this is what Tex owners are thinking.

He had 3 straight years of improvement before last season and had a great 2nd half after an extremely slow start last season. We try to look for trends. What reason do we have that his 2006 slow start is the norm rather than the 3 improving years and a solid 2nd half last season??
From my perspective, and it's one that is admittedly skewed by my insistence on playing only H2H leagues, his 2006 early-season drought really emphasized his streakiness; something I'd previously glossed over because his overall numbers were so good.
Look at '04 and '05. Those are some pretty dramatic peaks and valleys.
H2H does not generally shine favorably on people that draft a lot of streaky players.
I thought that you were a big roto/pts guy.

and yeah, i was wondering why that guy said noone should have taken him in the 2nd round.... the 2nd round is where he went in like 85% of drafts if not more.
i have him on 2 of my 4 teams and hes certainly frustrating.
one of these years hes going to minimize these hot streaks and win a mvp, ubt until them hes really really annoying me. Especially since im a ranger fan and hes hurting the rangers as much as he is my fantasy teams.
oh and "hes been declining ever since '05" ????????
uh, thats one season and 3 and a half weeks of another! give me a break.
you know, i hear a-rod has been declining ever since last sunday.
