Wellllllllll.....do tell.......who'd you give up?
Gave up CC Sabathia for Capuano and Tex. Absolutely huge deal for me.
But I don't think anyone else will get that lucky. I just happened to get a very frustrated owner at a very vulnerable time.
uhh depending on who you dropped there's a chance that you actually lost in that trade. sabathia is going to be huge this season, while capuano is serviceable at best.
No, there is no chance he lost on that trade.

unless he had someone completely worthless rostered and then dropped him after the trade, you're wrong. last year, according to http://www.baseballmonster.com, sabathia had a cumulative value of 0.42, while teixeira had 0.24 and capuano -0.06 in standard 5x5 leagues. if sabathia takes the next step and becomes a top pitcher this season (which many think he will), his value will be even higher than last season. also, teix is off to an even slower start than last season so there is a chance he won't even match those stats.

Isn't that what I said???
Sort of... but when this debate was brought up prior to ST everyone thought I was crazy.
Well, on that topic, you were right but still wrong. As I recall, your argument was predicated on your assertion that he was not as good as he seemed because his home park was inflating his numbers. This year has definitely proved that wrong. He's killing on the road. He's dogging it in Texas.
I have Pujols as my regular 1B, so I've benched Tex for most of the season so far. I'd use him for spot starts for days off and such. Had him in the lineup tonight, man has he been brutal. He's so bad it's to the point that I'd rather leave a gap in my lineup than put him in there. I've made up my mind not to use him until he goes yard. Figure I won't have to worry about it til around late June . I'm not so sure this dude is in for the fearsome turn around that everyone is predicting.

You got fleeced.
I couldn't disagree more. He did the fleecing. By far.
