Who in their right mind drafted him in the first or second round this year?

Everyone who drafted him should have known he is like Manny... slow out of the gate, so you make up for that in the draft by taking a solid 1B to plug in early on (Adrian Gonzalez, etc..) Then it doesn't sting so bad, after he hits his first dingdong, you plug him in and your golden.

OMG... JT, you are THE biggest supporter of Teixeira. And you wouldn't take him in the first 2 rounds? :-D

Starts like this are killer in H2H leagues. I've been lucky. This year, my pitching has been good, and my offense hasn't needed to carry as much of the load. As a result, I'm 3-0 to start. That wasn't the case last year, though, when I relied more on my offense. I started 0-4 then.

Even one of Tex's patented big July's won't make up for a winless month.

Just absolutely ripped my owner for Big Tex in one of my leagues, he told me he was so mad at him that he was desperate to get rid of him. Luckily, I pushed the right buttons and I gave up WAY less than his value for him.

Gave up CC Sabathia for Capuano and Tex. Absolutely huge deal for me.

But I don't think anyone else will get that lucky. I just happened to get a very frustrated owner at a very vulnerable time.

I traded Rolen/Fielder for Tex

I dont think I bought too low though. I was carrying three 1b who I felt had similar value (Giambi, Gonzalez, and Fielder). Plus I have Atkins at 3rd. I thought trading a couple of spare parts for Tex was a good deal for me.

uhh depending on who you dropped there's a chance that you actually lost in that trade. sabathia is going to be huge this season, while capuano is serviceable at best.
