This guy is the absolute worst fantasy headache of alltime! The only thing he appears to be good at this year is striking out or going 0 for the gym. He should be in the prime of his career, however, he has just been regressing ever since 05. Does anyone really see this guy turning it around?

I'm trying desperately to get his owner in my league to trade him to me. If you trade him away now, pretty sure you're due for an even bigger headache when he starts raking the ball.
he rests peacefully on my bench, and i couldn't be happier about it. i'll plug him back in when he starts hitting again, which will probably be june. the i expect nothing less than for him to carry me to the league title.

Heh. I have him on my bench as well! I have garciaparra in there right now. Then as soon as tex goes off ill drop him right in.
I think its great when you can get the majority of value out of a player in a smaller time frame.

That's why he's such a fantasy headache...he was terrible the entire first half of the season, and he is off to an even worse start this year. Even with last years stats, he doesn't even touch his 2005 numbers.
I have been expecting a post like this for the past 2 weeks. If you can trade for him on the cheap, do it. If you have him and you drop him or give him away for a song, you are an idiot.
The only limitation I see is that having Sosa hitting behind him is not exactly helpful, and Tex's early poor start is reminiscent of last year, when Blalock was hitting behind him before the Lee trade and swinging the bat like a 12 year old girl. But Tex will be fine in the long run, and if he plays 150+ games and does not equal last year's HR total I will eat a big steaming plate of poop and place on youtube for all to see.
